Spring fishing comes early.
In February we caught, Swordfish, Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Hammerhead Shark, Bull Shark, Sandbar Shark, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Mutton Snapper, Gag Grouper, Wahoo, and Silky Shark. The Mahi and Sailfish bite remains steady. Kite fishing is very productive this time of year. Getting Hooked Up to a Big Mahi of Sailfish is a daily occurrence. Live bait is key, for the next couple of Months.
Here are a few Pictures of Febuary Fishing.
On Febuary 15th 2018 at 1:50pm, we caught a small Swordfish on a spinning rod on a live pilchard. This Swordfish was only in 120 feet of water, electric purple swimming in green water. This fish was obviously lost, so I reeled my bait towards the surface trying to get a reaction bite. The fish immediately turned on the live bait and attempted to eat it. After what felt like forever the fish finally ate the bait. After the Swordfish was hooked he jumped two times, completely coming out of the water on each jump. This was an Amazing ordeal, surely a once and a lifetime experience.
