November -January has been the best month for Sailfish that Good Hit Sportfishing has every seen in Fort Lauderdale. We have been sight fishing for Sailfish on a daily basis (waiting to see the fish before we throw lines out). This has been an extremely effective method for these past months, using 20lb test mainline light tackle with 40lb test leader. Our weapon of choice has been spinning tackle to hook up on these big game fish. South Florida has great Sailfishing if you know how to go after it. Most of the fish are closer than one mile off the beach in 40ft of water. Not many people believe sailfish are this close to shore but Good Hit Sportfishing is about to prove that theory incorrect.
