The summer heat is on, and the fishing off the coast is matching the energy. We had an absolute blast out on the water, putting our anglers on a prime mixed-bag spread across the reef, deep wrecks, and out into the Gulf Stream.

Apex Predator Alert: 10′ Hammerhead Shark While working the deeper water, we hooked into an absolute leviathan. A monster 10-foot Hammerhead Shark tracked our spreads, hitting hard and ripping line off the spool in an explosive first run. Watching a predator of that caliber maneuver around the vessel provided pure adrenaline from start to finish before a clean release.

Offshore: Mahi Mahi on the Edge Heading out into the blue water, we found strong current edges and scattered weed lines. Trolling live baits and ballyhoo brought in some gorgeous, hard-fighting Mahi Mahi (Dolphin). Finding those active floating patches was the key to boxing a solid dinner for the crew.

On the Reefs: Blackfin Tuna Bite Dropping back in close over the reef ledges and deeper structure, the Blackfin Tuna were fired up. Early morning live-lining and vertical jigging produced quick, aggressive strikes. These fish are fast, hard-pulling, and put up an incredible fight on light tackle.

The Monster Catch: Goliath Grouper To round out the trip, we hooked into a true bottom-dwelling titan. Deep over heavy structure, we locked into a massive Goliath Grouper. It took every bit of stand-up leverage to bring this beast up for quick pictures at the surface before safely releasing it back down to its wreck.
